like an electronic
ticker tape.
(coincidentally, this
has been used by the
NYSE... Who
knew?)

it was

with freehand to develop
the initial grid and
then taken from
Fontographer from there.
Each letter was "carved"
out by taking the "lit"
circles away from the
whole. Really legible
considering it's just a
bunch of dots ;-)
